National EIP Registration Day

Updated: Nov 11, 2020

The IRS has set November 10 as "National EIP Registration Day" as it launches its final push to encourage taxpayers who do not normally file a tax return to register for an Economic Impact Payment (EIP). Although most U.S. taxpayers may have already received their EIP, many of those without a filing obligation have not.

For those without a filing obligation, we encourage you to use the Non-Filers tool to register with the IRS to receive your EIP. The tool is designed for taxpayers:

  • with incomes typically below $24,400 for married couples (MFJ), and $12,200 for individuals

  • who could not be claimed as a dependent by someone else,

  • includes couples and individuals who are experiencing homelessness.

Once registered, you can track your status using the Get My Payment tool. For a faster refund, we recommend opting for a direct deposit.
